The 2026 UConn 4-H Dog Clinic will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at the Tolland Agricultural Center, 24 Hyde Ave, Vernon, CT, 06066. Clinic is held from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm, Check in is 8:00- 8:45 am. The registration deadline is Friday, April 24, 2026. Space is limited to 30 participants and their dog.
Proof of Rabies vaccination and Current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) is required. Distemper & Parvovirus Lyme disease and Kennel Cough vaccinations are recommended but not required. Proof of vaccination and CVI must be emailed (subject line: Dog Clinic) to maryann.fusco@uconn.edu by April 25, 2026, or mailed to Tolland County Extension, 24 Hyde Ave, Vernon, CT 06066, and postmarked by April 25, 2026.
Lunch option can be added on to registration. Boxed lunch included a 6″ sandwich with lettuce, tomato, provolone cheese & condiments (on the side), as well as a cookie and bag of chips.

The UConn 4-H Dog Clinic is open to all registered 4-H Dog Project members 7 – 18 years of age and their registered 4-H project dog.
- Registered 4-H members from any state of New England may attend.
- Only one dog is allowed to attend per registered person; no dogs in season may attend.
- Youth members aged 12 and under MUST be accompanied either by a parent, guardian or leader/chaperone. If a number of youth are attending from one club, the club may provide one adult chaperone for every 4 youth ages 12 and under.
- All participants are expected to follow and adhere to the 4-H Code of Conduct, including participating in all activities and staying with your assigned groups throughout the day.
- The 4-H member is expected to control and handle their dog, at all times throughout the day.
- All dogs must be crate trained; crates must be brought to the event.
- Dogs that show aggression to other dogs or people or dogs that are uncontrollable will be asked to leave, and that person’s registration will be refunded.
- The event will be held outdoors; however, should there be inclement weather the event will take place in buildings on the Tolland Agricultural Center (TAC) grounds. Wear appropriate clothing for all weather possibilities.
Register early as sessions fill quickly. There is no guarantee on session assignment. Schedule subject to change. Youth registration is $20 and is non-refundable. Each youth MUST have a chaperone to supervise & support them. If a parent/guardian will not be accompanying a youth, the chaperone must have a 4-H Member Health Form in their possession signed by the youth’s parent/guardian. Due to the short lunch break, participants should bring a nut-free lunch.
