UConn 4-H Day at the Capitol

UConn 4-H Day at the Capitol will be held on March 18th, 2026 at the Capitol in Hartford. The registration fee is $20, ($21 for convience fee using credit cards). After March 1st the registration fee is $25 ($26 for the convience fee using credit cards). More information will follow in your registration packet which will be sent to you by email. Any registrations received after 3/1 will need to check the State 4-H website for more information. Lunch is provided as part of your registration. Appropriate attire is a UConn 4-H Polo. No jeans or t-shirts.

Youth (ages 12-18) will observe state government by participating in workshops at the State Capitol meet with Legslative Representatives, Agricultural Industry Representatives and UConn Extension Faculty. Youth workshops may include holding mock debates, votes on a selected topic of interest to teens and gaining an understanding of the legislative process. This event is held in conjunction with the Ag Day at the Capitol event hosted by the Connecticut Department of Agriculture. Teens are encouraged to be on a planning committee for this event.

Register early as sessions fill quickly. Schedule subject to change. All participants, both youth and chaperones, must pay a non-refundable $20 each.
