UConn 4-H Goat Day

Held in each year at the University of Connecticut, Storrs campus in early April. The program is designed for enrolled UConn 4-H’ers ages 7-18, parents and 4-H leaders, and is also open to Out-of-State & unenrolled 4-H members. Examples of workshops include showmanship and dairy goat judging, goat nutrition, Mastitis testing for dairy goats, cheese making, soap making, safe milk handling, fun activities and door prizes as well.

Register early as sessions fill quickly. There is no guarantee on session assignment. Schedule subject to change. All participants, both youth and chaperones, must pay a non-refundable $25 each. DO NOT bring a goat. Each youth MUST have a chaperone to supervise & support them. If a parent/guardian will not be accompanying a youth, the chaperone must have a 4-H Member Health Form in their possession signed by the youth’s parent/guardian. Due to the short lunch break, participants should pre-order a box lunch or bring a nut-free lunch.
